def strange atmos, the top never existed i dont think! perhaps that was all part of the macabre concept. loved this none the less, still now the useless quote "player one, get ready" is taking up space somewhere in my brain, I quote it out loud to my bro every now again.

A good new gaming idea at the time but dis-orientating madness aswell. Addictive none the less, a strange game with a strange atmosphere. Did anyone reach the top of the tower?

Some of the level designs were too convoluted, and I doubt many people ever completed it, but it was fun at times and certainly looked good, although the bonus game was shit.

You can download the game from Automation disk 9(ftp://ftp.cs.tu-berlin.de/pub/atari/games/Automation/A_009.ST). You can see Power Pack instructions from http://www.geocities.com/yotisrx7/PowerPack.html#Nebulus.

Great game, very colourfull and the turning tower effect was really a new idea and worked very well. But what about this dull shooting fishes for bonus points between each level ???
valuigi wrote ...2002-12-08 17:04:50
superb puzzle game to really test your patience! i think the same guy also wrote eliminator around the same time, and that game too had about it a similar very smooth sheen.

The only game where loading it takes more time than playing it before that damn "Game Over" appears...too hard for me. But there are really good grafix by the way...

Climb up a tower. Why? Because it's there!! ;)
Jasper de Wit wrote ...2001-11-26 06:00:11
I agree with Matthias on this one; once you know how to get through the different 'mazes' it's somewhat easier, but never actually easy. You do indeed need a lot of concentration to get through all the towers. But he, before you get to know all mazes you'll have a ton of fun, hours of playing. Really a fantastic game, one of the best I ever played on the Atari.... deserves the 96% Computer and Video Games Magazine rated it.
Matthias Arndt wrote ...2001-11-07 17:01:34
The game isn't that hard if you know the maze of each tower. If you know it, it is somewhat easy with concentration to play both missions in about half an hour....

Great game. Makes sence, good use of 3D like said. God Damn Impossible.
Padraig wrote ...2001-11-05 09:17:25
The first game I had for my ST. And one of the coolest -- well, in my humble opinion. There were times, when I knew all the traps on the way... And there are loads of them... If you wanna finish both difficulty levels without cheating within a lifetime, better start now!! *g* But I can only underline what Matthias wrote: A Must Have!
Maarten (ST Graveyard) wrote ...2001-11-05 04:54:28
I agree with Matthias...And the 3D effect is really cool! But be warned, it's a pretty difficult game!

One of the very few games with neat and new game ideas. Climb a tower - a must have!
