Yeah the game was fun with multiple players. But also annoying: the news ticker was always busy, several of your oil fields were burning ALL THE TIME, no minute without any disasters, gawd that was disturbing. And unfair for the human players that got hit by the disasters more than others. Still a nice, hard disk installable game.

Forgot to say: it's best when played with several (up to 4) human players! (hotseat play.)

Great business simulation that also includes several mini games of skill (where you have to use a joystick.) You have to ask for expertises of whichever oil fields you want in the different available regions. When you find a field for a reasonable price, good output and low monthly maintenance cost, buy it! When you buy an oil field, you are asked if you want to drill it now or later and, if you want to drill, whether you want to do it on your own (be ready with your joystick!) or hire a specialist to do it. If you drill on your own and fail, you will have to try again at a cost. Once you have drilled oil fields, you have to buy tanks for that region, which then allows you to sell your oil for a great profit (you might have to assist your workers if there's a problem, which brings in another mini game to play with a joystick.) Beware of burning oil fields (buy a contract to protect yourself in case of fire if you can afford it!) That's the game in a nustshell. Try it if you like business sims!

Very good simulation and the more human players there are, the better becomes the game. The computer-firms start very good but they all (all!) go bancrupt after some time, so playing alone against the ST is very simple. Another strange thing is that you can try to destroy some enemy's oilfields by the help of some mafia-like killers, but even the most expensive ones are caught in most cases (and then you have to "pay" about 3 oilfields to the victim).
