I really loved this game. It was fast, edge of seat, and VERY tough. totally relentless shoot-em-up.

I remember this game, first fps I played and liked. The first game that I know of that uses clever tricks to achive 360 degrees of freedom of view. Way ahead of its time and quite sadly underated. I recently found a game that looks a lot like a remake of this game at tucows, search for a game named 'badlands' and you will find it. I still can remember those eyeballs....

I have a few memories of playing Backlash. I remember that when I first played the game, I always held down the button and shooting all ships and fireballs in the air. It was a lot of fun. After a while, I wanted to play something else. Backlash can be found on Automation compact disk 8.
