is it any wonder why the st got its pants pulled down by the amiga. Put this side by side and see for yourself.

Graphically impressive but that was about it, a good platformer none the less. Try the sequal for something with a little umph!

Agree with the comments, the amiga version had "13" layers of parralax scrolling wheras the st had 2 or 3 layers if that. Enchanted Lands showed that the ST can hold it's own and was more impressive for it.

The game was a big disapointment the st could have done the game better as usual phygnosis didnt care about st version only the amiga only really good conversion by them for any of their games was blood money

I do declare Bazfan is a big fat cock who spoils everything for everybody. F**k off Bazfan.

Never got far is an understatement but what a classic sound
Sokaret wrote ...2003-03-26 14:39:08
Bad conversion, the amazing multiple scroll of amiga version is reduced and the difficult is extreme, the ZX Spectrum version is better.

I never actually managed to play this game for more than 2 minutes. Kept getting killed. Maybe I had the joystick plugged into the wrong port or something.
bazfan wrote ...2002-12-03 17:12:55
it was a bad conversion

Cack, cack conversion of the Amiga game. If they couldn't do better than this, then they shouldn't have bothered. Stupidly hard, awful graphics, no gameplay.
Feige wrote ...2002-02-17 14:07:20
I've been playing this for about 10 minutes. I think it's not worth loading it for another 10 minutes.
bazfan wrote ...2002-01-09 16:25:10
Wheres the original amiga intro mod. Yep this is truly poor compared to the amiga versionm which just proves the amigas superiority over the humble st. Shame but true

A poor conversion. I disliked psygnosis for some time after this. it really was an amiga showcase. I mean, even the amiga scene said it didn't have a lot of gameplay, just flash scrolling and a nice soundtrack.. neither of which were on the ST version. sorry, but I wasn't happy with it.

Too hard. If you went into an area without the key to get out, or confronted the boss without the correct weapon, you couldn't proceed any further and had to start again....Excellent graphics though...

I always loved the atmosphere of this game! Just listen to the intro track, it's amazing! The game has a very different style of graphics. Really outworldish. Too bad it's difficult as hell! But still, a real classic in the platform genre!

Good graohics and sound, but not that capturing feeling that needs to be found underneeth the surface.
