A really cool game. And yep, you really need a good responding mouse to play it. ;)
Ragstaff wrote ...2003-06-24 07:49:02
I forgot to mention, I think Dad broke the mouse, or it could have been me... we'd both slam it on the table and yell "FUUUUUCCKKKKK!!", and Mum would have to ban both of us for a week ;-) haha

Very good game. The simplest concept but the best fun.

Well? What to say? I personnaly consider this game as one of the best games ever. The concept is simple, there is nothing to understand really, just jump in action. Pure competition, good controls (no frustration possible except from a bad-working mouse!)... Immense gameplay, despite somewhat poor graphics... The sounds were great too (uh ah-ah-ah-ah... I still laugh like the biker at the end... but my colleagues at work seem not to understand, what a shame!!!) This is one of the rare games where you can say that the graphics, animations and sounds are not that important. It's all about gameplay. it just CAN'T get old... TRY IT NOW.... (just a pity, as someone noticed it, that it couldn't be played by two players, and that the computer players were too easy too beat after a week's training)...

yyaayy!! I loved this game... "good shot". I remember I impresses my friends by going down to the final opponent (that bikie bloke "a ha ha ha ha!") by 1 point with an original atari mouse. Once you got a better mouse it was a lot easier. I remember my little brother and sisters and their friends laughing hysterically at the reaking glass, and the little green dude crossing his eyes when you smashed the glass in front of his face. When he laughed at you, the kids laughed so much. A great friends/family game!

This is the game I grew up playing when I was six back in 1989. I tried really hard to beat the pig named Eneg and I kept losing so much that I started crying. The version that I had was written in French and I found out how to make the paddle bigger in the "paddle" menu. Except, it was written in French and I couldn't read it, I remembered what options I used to make it bigger. Even my brother loved playing this game, too. All in all, Shufflepuck Cafe is one of the greatest Atari ST games.

Good gameplay, action, fun!

A truly wonderful game! Absolute masterpiece. I just loved it (maybe because I love real air hockey so much?). Good feeling of inertia and gameplay.

This game is a must! A pity that the computer-players are too weak ;-) And fighting against a robot is no fun...No, really, the ONLY bad thing is that it isn't possible for 2 (human) players. Get it!

Really great game! I loved kicking the arse of the little guy in a plastic mac. "good shot!", "play again?"

c'mon... it's shufflepuck!.. what added to the immense gameplay was the comments from the opponents... a great game, and I'm sure it ruined many atari mice.

One of my fondest memories from the ST-era. Me and a bunch of friends played this game to death. Highly recommended!

I have a vague memory of really enjoying this a lot. I got bored with it after playing for about a week solid - but it was a very good week!
