I bought this on budget re-release.. One disk was just different music tracks - I guess trying to outdo 'Elite' on the whole 2001/Blue Danube thing. I could never really get into it either, although you could enter the atmosphere of planets, which you couldn't on 'Elite'. (But you could on 'Frontier - Elite 2'.)

This game gave began my love affair with the Atari ST that to date has lasted 15 years! The theme tune alone is just beautiful.... and has anyone noticed the parrallels to Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy?

I tried to play it but I failed miserably. Are there somewhere instructions for this game?

Touted as the big Elite beater, it didn't seem to get much support from users. I have been trying to play this game but it doesn't want to work on my emulator properly. I will give a go someday!!
